The Verdict

Houston, we have a problem! Your steakhouses are all on point – making it challenging to determine the best-from-the-best. If we are going purely from the scorecard, the Taste of Texas and Steak 48 are the front runners, but only by a nose.

And, while Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse sits with the wooden spoon, they are only out of the race because they offer a complete unique steakhouse experience to the rest – which means it does not neatly fit into our grading criteria.

The mid-ranked B&B Butcher’s & Restaurant and Mastro’s Steakhouse are our choices for Houston. The Kobe and Wagyu steak options had us salivating at the mouth. And if we were to split hairs, we’d go for B&B Butcher’s simply because their steak varieties were next level – their menu put the steak in steakhouse
